Today Counts is a ready‑to‑use daily character education resource that helps students reflect on values, behavior, and ethical choices—without adding planning time for educators.
Each grade‑level edition (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12) includes 190 short lessons that can be used with individuals, small groups, or whole classes. Activities are discussion‑based and easily adapted for classrooms, advisory periods, or schoolwide SEL initiatives.
Lessons are organized around the Six Pillars of Character, with an introductory unit, monthly focus on one pillar, and concluding lessons on decision‑making and reflection.

For products purchased directly from Drake University/CHARACTER COUNTS!, credit card payment is the fastest and easiest way to order. Securely pay using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover. Please note, credit card statements will state processing by “Drake Uni Ray Center.”
Purchase Order (PO)
All domestic, non-express orders are shipped via UPS ground service. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing and delivery. Delivery time may be extended during peak periods, which include but are not limited to April – June and August – October. Customers are responsible for return shipping fees if packages are refused.
